Michael Jackson said it best when he said "Jamon!" In Spain, ham is the "it" flavor. More than just a fad, it's a way of life. My close relative in particular is green with envy over the porcine flavored life I have become accustomed to. Ham is everywhere here in Spain, it's a national pastime that's as popular as drinking and smoking and a force that must be reckoned with. Do not take lightly the fact that you will have, at least 4 times per day, a good helping of somewhat raw, very tasty ham. It's everywhere! In kid's lunch boxes, on almost every corner like Starbucks, you must respect the hammeria!
