I Don't Like Mondays...

...But I wouldn't mind getting my ass out of bed and up to NYC for this gig coming up this very Monday...
It's cheap, it's for a good cause and it's freaking unfair that the Big Apple gets to showboat a great show like this and all I'm left with is fruit envy (I mean, I live in Orange County...isn't that fruity enough!). If you're not in the NY metro area and are a trustfunder, here you go:

"Bring 'Em Home Now!" Concert for Peace to commemorate three years of War in Iraq. Proceeds will be donated to Veterans for Peace and Iraq Veterans Against the War.

Michael Stipe of R.E.M., Rufus Wainwright , Bright Eyes, Fischerspooner, Peaches, Devendra Banhart, Steve Earle & special guests Cindy Sheehan & Chuck D of Public Enemy

Tickets are priced at $28, $35 and $150 VIP (including Meet & Greet with Cindy Sheehan and Peaches, open vodka bar and reserved balcony seating). Hanging with Peaches and Cindy Sheehan...scary!

PLACE: Hammerstein Ballroom 311 W.34th Street
TIME: Doors open at 7:00 PM for 8:00 PM show

I think Margaret Cho is the most important thing in that blog entry.
