Get ready to cash in fanboys...Geekdom is finally getting it's due. A new film entitled "Nerdcore Rising" which documents the current culture of "Geeksta Rap," premiered at the 2008 SXSW Music & Film Festival and will hopefully make inroads to your local coffeehouse, record shop, or independent film festival (should your town have one)...although the library or your neighborhood comic book store would be more accurate.

This is a must see, if just for the supporting Cast! Far be it for me to criticize what has, up until now, been my own private Idaho, but my only fear is that this too shall become du rigeur for rich kids with a bank roll and a sense or irony. Then again, "a sense of irony" is the slogan printed on the back of the 12-sided dice we nerds use as currency.
